RAKA Contracting and Trading was the first division and was spun of as a wholly owned company of RAKA Holding Group.

RAKA CONTRACTING
This Group is composed of two divisions: Tendering & Procurement and Sourcing. The two Divisions are dedicated to procurement and support services for the varying government ministries such as Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health and the Saudi Armed Forces to name just a few. RC&T is the largest government contractor in Saudi Arabia, employing 295 management, administrative and support personnel. The Group is headed by the C.O.O. Salman Al-Malik.
This Group supplies items such as summer and winter battle and dress uniforms and underwear, boots, shoes and socks; tents, beds and bedding; kitchen utensils; bullet proof vests and firefighting and rescue clothing; back packs, ammunition belts and pouches, and pistol holsters. The Division supplies quartermaster items to all branches of the Saudi armed forces, the National Guard and police. It is expected that revenues for the first six months will exceeded US$138 million.
 

• TENDERING & PROCUREMENT DIVISION
  •  The Tendering & Procurement Division is responsible for bidding and fulfillment of government contracts to supply finished goods. This involves RC&T sales representatives soliciting direct purchases from government / military agencies, submission of Limited Tender and Public Tender bids, multinational procurement, warehousing and distribution All foreign procurement is managed directly by RC&T and is funded through letters of credit that are readily available to
    RTC because of its standing in the banking community. The Division employs full-time, on-site quality control inspectors in the foreign manufacturing plants to inspect and ensure high-quality production at the source.
  • The Division also fulfills successful bids for other suppliers who do not have the foreign procurement contacts, nor the financial resources, extensive warehousing and distribution capabilities of RC&T’s Quartermaster Group.
    
     
• TAILORING & FINISHING DIVISION
   
  • This Division provides tailoring and alteration of uniforms for officers in fifteen different branches within the Saudi Armed Forces. Employing over 250 trained tailors, cutters and fitters in 15 separate facilities in various parts of the Kingdom, the Division provides custom measuring, sizing, fitting and alterations to meet officers’ personal specifications.
  • RC&T evolved into serving the Minister of Defense by winning a contract for catering and maintenance for three Saudi Arabian military bases for six years. RAKA served 3 meals a day to over 60,000 military personal.
  • RAKA employed over 1,000 employees operating 50 kitchens and 167 dinning halls developing a comprehensive training program to employees. Kitchens were subjected to daily inspection by RTC inspectors and Saudi Armed Forces inspectors for cleanliness and efficiency. The quality of meals was also inspected on a daily basis. RTC used Western-style business techniques, providing bonus and incentive plan for employees based on performance and inspection results.
  • RAKA maintained three bases as well for the infrastructure including the barracks, garages, grounds and offices. All water, electrical, civil (Infrastructural works including roads, buildings etc…) and sanitary supplies and laundry services.
    
     

RAKA TRADING

RAKA trading division is a support arm for RAKA holding group handling all import and exports. This includes knowing all laws and taxes applicable for their import and exports, paying customs and taxes dealing with government bureaucracies to ensure the prompt and reliable delivery to our clients. The trading division works closely to our overseas group and RAKA international with operations in Los Angeles CA, Doha, Qatar and Khartoum Sudan.

  RAKA International Services Co. Ltd. was founded in 1992. RAKA opened up full services operations in Los Angeles, USA, Doha Qatar and Khartoum Sudan. These operations are vital to the on going success and growth of RAKA Holding Group. They work closely with the different RAKA companies to bid and fulfill contracts within their respective countries of operation. RAKA’s strategic plan of globalization started thirteen years ago with setting up its first office outside Saudi Arabia in the U.S. RAKA has always thought globally and looked to the future. The U.S. operations initially sourced US products & services, tested, shipped and negotiated contracts, agencies & distributorships for RAKA in Saudi Arabia.
  RAKA saw an opportunity to expand their services through the Middle East as they were getting inquires from various companies in the region. RAKA felt it had to be closer to their customers to respond to their need and satisfaction.
